Entertainment Monday night at the ninth annual chamber banquet was provided by special guest Brent Reed, a comedian, who had a different way of looking at a variety of topics. While he held the audience captive, Reed covered weight control, dating, marriage and the single life. He also talked on driving, teenagers, and grandchildren. Reed's style was honest and downright blunt, but the crowd approved and applauded his act. The comedian chose several members from the audience and made examples of common driving mistakes and dating or marriage blunders. Jay Abercrombie and Penny Roach were the first two on stage for a driving lesson from the comedian who also teaches defensive driving courses; this act was followed by Don Reagan, married man (who is not afraid of his wife); and, Doc Smith, single guy. Reed aided Reagan in teaching Smith a lesson in wooing. Reed is a Texas native, currently on tour with a Christian comedy troupe. He arrived in Bullard for the banquet, fresh off of a plane from Denver, Col. Reed said his travels have taken him into many different settings - no two the same - but it was good to be back in Texas for this special event and catering to such a wonderful and good-humored crowd.
