Hosted by Willis Knighton Health Plus The Community Activity Center on Church Street in Springhill, Louisiana, was filled with friends, business associates, food, information and laughter as Brent Reed, a professional comedian from Houston, Texas, who bills himself as a “Clean Comic”, treated everyone to his own special brand of jokes and antics. Brent, with a commandingly booming voice, persuaded several in the audience to participate with him adding to the humor and fun. This entertainment and steak luncheon, March 18, prepared by Little Frenchie’s Fixins’, were compliments of the host of this “Chamber Lunch Extravaganza”, Willis Knighton Health Plus of Louisiana. Scott Johnson, Director of Sales & Marketing, spoke briefly to let everyone know that Health Plus offers affordable health insurance and is available through most local insurance agencies by simply asking for a quote. Two lucky attendees took home door prizes of gift certificates to a restaurant and large umbrellas which were donated by Willis Knighton Health Plus and a promotional autographed picture by Brent Reed. President Robert Bryan and Chamber Manager Janet Reeves reminded the crowd of coming events: After Hours at 5:00 P. M. with the Springhill Art League, 222 North Main Street, on April 7; a Ribbon Cutting at 12:00 P. M., for “Shake Those Pounds”, 130 North Main Street, on April 9; and the Annual Chamber Banquet to be held on April 23 with Moon Griffon as the key note speaker. $30 reservations are required.
